What Type of Home Best Suits Your Needs?

Decisions, decisions, decisions… Choosing a home that you will be happy living in for any extended period is an important part of making the right choice for you and your family. It means taking the time to consider what you want in a home and what type of property fits your needs best.
There are lots of different types of homes that appeal to different people for various reasons, so if you truly want to be happy where you reside, it is a good idea to work out what type of home suits your needs and use that as a guide. Here are some of the types of homes:

Condominium

Condo living suits people who want to only have the responsibility of looking after their own dwelling, but are happy to pay a body corporate to look after the rest of the areas. Condos are dwellings that form a part of a larger complex (usually with more than two dwellings) with the land and common areas owned by an association. Some people enjoy the feel of living in a townhouse style complex without needing to work on the common areas.

Townhouse

Townhouse living usually has a complex with separate dwellings with their own separate garden areas with each person responsible for their own area. People who want to live in a townhouse setting but still have their own piece of garden to use and work on often choose this sort of dwelling.

Duplex

A duplex consists of one residential building divided into two separate apartment-style dwellings, with separate entry points. Like a townhouse, the upkeep of each separate dwelling is usually done by the person who is residing in that dwelling. People might choose this sort of dwelling if they are looking to live in a residential home but are happy to be in close proximity to their neighbours.

Knowing what you want with regard to living arrangements is important to the lifestyle that you choose to have for yourself and your family and finding a dwelling that suits your needs. At Complete Asset Building Inspections we see customers from all walks of life, and in the business of looking after a home, we choose the right dwelling, which can greatly impact your enjoyment of living in the space.
